Massage with warm herbal stamps

Massage with warm herbal stamps

The massage which, like all the other types of massage, originates from Thailand. In that region of the world, such therapy has been in use for over 400 years. This tradition and the procedure carried out with the use of especially dedicated disposable cotton bags called stamps, containing a mixture of specialized herbs, spices and fruit with medical properties, i.e. lemon grass, turmeric, eucalyptus and lime leaves, Canton ginger and cinnamon, has persisted until the present day.

The stamps are dipped in hot oil and heated to the temperature at which it is possible to release essential oils from the herbs. Then, the whole body is massaged with the stamps and various points on the body are touched. On each such spot the stamp is slightly pressed. Massaging becomes more intense as the stamp loses its temperature.
